GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College will celebrate its fifth annual International Education Week from Nov. 14-20 with a range of on-campus activities emphasizing international discovery and cultural interaction.
“Thiel College endeavors to provide many opportunities for our students to engage and experience global perspectives,” President Susan Traverso, Ph.D., said. “We are excited to participate in this international celebration and will continue to demonstrate a commitment to providing these kinds of experiences for the Thiel community.”

Tuesday’s workshop on the career benefits of studying abroad will include representatives from the Peace CORPS, who will answer questions from students.
In her inaugural year, Traverso continues to emphasize student success in a diverse and inclusive learning environment. Previously in her career, she served the Peace CORPS in a variety of roles—including education coordinator and director—in locales such as Morocco, Yemen and Bulgaria.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the U.S. Department of Education, International Education Week began in 2000. The United States and more than 100 countries observe the week, which endeavors to empower youth through international education.
