The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra “swings” into Thiel College’s Passavant Center, at 8 p.m. Dec. 2. The Glenn Miller Orchestra, famous for such tunes as “In the Mood,” “Pennsylvania 6500,” and “Moonlight Serenade” became popular during the “swing era” of the 1940s, and remains one of the most sought after big bands in the world.

Thiel College welcomes Pete Rydberg, Ph.D. as Assistant Professor of Performing Arts and Director of the Thiel Players, a position he will assume this fall. The Thiel Choir is hitting the road for its annual spring tour in March. Each year, under the direction of Dr. Michael Bray, director of choral activities, and accompanied by pianist Kathryn A. Gray, the student choir performs a largely a cappella program in Lutheran churches throughout the eastern United States.
