THIEL COLLEGE TO HOST FREE FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOPS FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS

GREENVILLE, PA – Thiel College will host free Financial Aid Nights on Feb. 12 and 19 in Thiel’s Academic Center. Area high school students and their parents are invited to attend  one of these informative sessions to learn about the college financial aid process and receive personal one-on-one assistance with filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The workshop has a “drop-in” format and interested families can stop by any time between 4 and 7 p.m.

Members of the Thiel College Admissions and Financial Aid Offices will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about how to apply for all types of financial aid. Families interested in filling out the FAFSA during Financial Aid Night should bring the following documents:

• Student’s Social Security number
• Driver's license (if any)
• 2012 W-2 forms and other records of money earned (for student)
• 2012 federal income tax return (including spouse’s if married), foreign tax return or tax return for Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Marshall Islands, the Federal States of Micronesia or Palau (for student)
• Parents’ 2012 federal income tax return (if dependent student)
• 2012 untaxed income records (parent and student)
• Current bank statements and business and investment mortgage information, business and farm records, stock, bond and other investment records (parent and student)
• Alien registration or permanent resident card (if not a U.S. citizen)
