THIEL'S RISSELL-SCHREYER DOME TO REOPEN DEC. 9
Oct. 31, 2011
GREENVILLE, Pa.– Thiel will celebrate the reopening of the Rissell-Schreyer Dome with an open house on Friday, Dec. 9 from 6 to 10 p.m. This annual event is open to the public. There is no admission charge for the Dome opening celebration.
The open house will feature a variety of activities, including Bongoball, a golf driving range, a batting cage and Inflatables, throughout the evening. The Tomcat Marching Pride and the Thiel Spirit Squads will perform at 7 p.m. and line dancing lessons will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
The Dome will be open for community access again this December through April. It will be available for walking Monday through Friday, 8 to 11 a.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. (depending on varsity athletic use). The driving range will be available on Tuesday, Thursday and most Saturdays (depending on varsity athletic use) from 8 to11 a.m. Buckets of golf balls (approximately 50) will be on sale for $5.
For the safety of community members and Thiel's student-athletes, the community's cooperation in recognizing the College's wishes to keep its varsity athletic practices closed to those outside of the Department of Athletics is very much appreciated.
The Rissell-Schreyer Dome is available for rental to a variety of groups and organizations at a reasonable cost. Contact Kevin Fenstermacher, associate director of athletics, at 724-589-2187 or kfenstermacher@thiel.edu for more information.
