THIEL COLLEGE ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO COLLEGE ADVANCEMENT STAFF
Nov. 14, 2011
GREENVILLE, PA – Thiel College has announced changes to the College Advancement Department staff. Lauren Oman has been named director of annual giving and parent relations and Darlene McClintock ’98 has been appointed director of alumni services. The staff changes were effective Monday, Nov. 7.
“I am pleased to announce these changes to the Thiel College Advancement staff, and I believe our department will be even stronger with these new appointments,” says David Grober, vice president for college advancement. “Lauren and Darlene are a great team with the skills and strengths that will make our alumni engagement efforts even more effective.”
McClintock returns to Thiel after more than a decade in pharmaceutical and medical device sales, where she consistently met sales quotas and increased revenue while working independently and as part of a team. She also served as assistant director of alumni relations at Thiel from 1999 to 2000. McClintock holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Thiel College. She lives in Hermitage, Pa., with her husband, Darrin, and her daughter, Cassie, and her step-daughter, Rachel.
As director of alumni services, McClintock will plan and implement all alumni events, maintain correspondence with alumni and develop opportunities for alumni to serve the college and its students. Along with those duties, McClintock will contribute to the college’s fundraising efforts.
Oman has directed alumni services activities at Thiel College since January 2010. Prior to her position at Thiel, she served as regional director for the UCLA Fund in Orange County, Calif., where she worked extensively with major donors and volunteers for the university in that Orange County area. A native and resident of Greenville, Pa., Oman holds a bachelor’s degree in television-radio from Ithaca College.
As director of annual giving and parent relations, Oman will direct the Thiel Fund, the annual fundraising activities of the college, including direct mail, phonathon and personal visits. She also will cultivate relationships between the college, its students and their families.
