VETERAN'S DAY CELEBRATED AT THIEL COLLEGE Nov. 11, 2011
GREENVILLE, PA – Today, to commemorate Veteran’s Day, Thiel College raised a U.S. flag, which was originally flown in Iraq, over Thiel’s campus in honor of the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Services. The flag, which was donated to the college by the family of an Iraqi War Veteran, was displayed over one of Saddam Hussein’s palaces on Veteran’s Day 2005. A group prayer for the nation and its military was led by the college’s campus pastor. Pictured from left to right Captain Tom Jones (Thiel College Police).
