THIEL COLLEGE NAMES CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

GREENVILLE, PA – Thiel College announced today that Kurt Ashley has been appointed chief information officer, a position he will assume July 1.
As CIO at Thiel, Ashley will be responsible for the effective and strategic deployment of all information and educational technology, including academic and administrative computing, network planning, telecommunications and maintenance.
Ashley has substantial information technology experience, with a special emphasis on networking and systems management. He currently serves as director of systems and networking at Albion College where he plans and supervises all major projects, upgrades and daily activity done by the department. Previously, he held positions at NCO Financial, Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital, Albion College and Jackson Community College, all in Michigan.

VanAken, Thiel College president. “Kurt’s diverse and deep experience in information technology and management will be an invaluable asset to Thiel College and its students, faculty and staff.”
Ashley holds a bachelor’s of business administration in management of information technology from Cleary University in Howell, Mich. He and his wife, Denise, currently live in Albion, Mich.
