GREENVILLE, Pa.—On May 2, 175 students earned degrees at Thiel College’s 136th Commencement ceremony. Graduates are listed below, separated by state and county. Graduates from foreign countries are listed at the end.

PENNSYLVANIA

Allegheny County

Samantha Marie Aiken received a Bachelor of Arts degree in fine art. She is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. David B. Aiken of Monroeville, Pa. She also was a member of the senior honor society, Les Lauriers.

Gregory Mark Andrle received a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Timothy M. Andrle of Gibsonia, Pa.

Bethany Anne Booth graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication sciences & disorders. She is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Robert W. Booth of Pittsburgh. Booth received departmental honors in communication sciences & disorders, was a member of the Thiel Honors Program and was president of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association.

Eric Michael Boylan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Eric R. Boylan of McKees Rocks, Pa.

Joel Anthony Bussard received a Bachelor of Arts degree in international business. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Jeffrey C. Bussard of Moon Township, Pa.  He was a member of the Thiel Players and Alpha Psi Omega theatre honorary.

Michael James Clemens received a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and business administration. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Dennis J. Clemens of Imperial, Pa. Clemens was a member of the Thiel football team.

John Andrew Clutter received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas W. Clutter of Pittsburgh. He was the scholarship adviser for the InterFraternity Council.

Sean Michael Devinney received a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. A member of the men’s basketball team, he is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Devinney of Pittsburgh.

Steven Christian Ferguson received a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice studies. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Dennis S. Ferguson of Pittsburgh.

Ellen Sarah Greis graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and earned her secondary education certification. She is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Frank X. Greis of South Park, Pa. Greis was a member of the education, English and theatre honoraries and the Thiel Players. She received departmental honors in English and education.

Jordan Michael Jeter received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He is the son of Pam Ann Council of Coraopolis, Pa. Jeter was a member of the Thiel men’s leadership organization.

James Ralph Kenna received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. He is the son of James & Victoria Kenna of West Mifflin, Pa. Kenna was a four-year member and three-year letterman on the Thiel football team.

Mary Elizabeth Lisowski graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and earned departmental honors. She is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph A. Lisowski of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Robert Louis McBain received a Bachelor of Arts degree in media communication. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Jeffrey S. McBain of Coraopolis, Pa.

Marissa Jane Musico received a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice studies. She is the daughter of Deboran A. Musico of Pittsburgh.

Rachel Lynn Nicholson received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature. She is the daughter of Renee D. Nicholson of Pittsburgh. Nicholson was a member of the senior class gift committee as well as the academic achievement and English honoraries.

Cassandra Lynne Onoffrey graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. She earned departmental honors and was the recipient of the Dean’s Key, which is awarded to those students who were on the Dean’s List for all eight semesters while at Thiel. She is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Eric J. Onoffrey of McKees Rocks, Pa. She was a member of Alpha Chi academic honor society and Kappa Delta Pi education honorary.

Jesse Michael Proie received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He is the son of Joseph W. Proie III of Castle Shannon, Pa.

Justin Thomas Munz graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and received departmental honors. He is the son of Thomas and Brenda Munz of Emporium, Pa., and was a member of the American Chemical Society, Lambda Sigma sophomore honor society, Les Lauriers senior honor society and Kappa Mu Epsilon mathematics honorary. He was the treasurer of the Student Government Association and, as a member of the senior class gift committee, presented the class gift.

Clarion County

 

Heather Jean Snyder graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice studies and psychology and earned departmental honors in both. She is the daughter of Ms. Regina R. McCleary of Mayport, Pa., and was a member of the Psi Chi psychology honorary, Alpha Xi Delta sorority, Les Lauriers senior honor society and Order of Omega national Greek honor society. She was named one of five valedictorians with a perfect 4.0 GPA and earned a Dean’s Key, which is awarded to those who were on the Dean’s List all eight semesters while at Thiel. She also earned departmental honors in biology and education. Colvin is the daughter of Larry Colvin & Deb Foister, both of Cambridge Springs, Pa., and was a member of the Lambda Sigma sophomore honor society, Les Laurier senior honor society, Kappa Delta Pi education honorary and Beta Beta Beta biology honorary. Colvin was also a member of the senior class gift committee.
