CHI OMEGA TO HOST WISH WALK
March. 17, 2010
GREENVILLE, PA—The Thiel College chapter (Beta Delta) of Chi Omega will be hosting a Walk for Wishes for the Make-A-Wish foundation on April 10. The community is invited to participate in this fundraising event.
Proceeds of the walk will benefit Make-A-Wish, the largest wish-granting organization in the world, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. The organization grants the wish for the child's entire family, wherever the destination.
The registration fee for the walk is $15, plus a minimum of five sponsors pledging at least $5. The fee includes a shirt, while supplies last. Registration forms and payment are due by March 28. Checks should be made payable to Chi Omega Beta Delta and sent to the sorority at 75 College Ave., Greenville, Pa 16125.
Registration will begin on April 10 at 8 a.m.; the walk will be approximately 15 miles. Participants should bring their own water.
The route begins at Thiel College’s Alumni Stadium and heads down College Avenue toward Sheetz. It then turns right onto Main St. and proceeds up to High Street and turns right. The route follows this road into Jamestown, about eight miles; then turns right at the BP gas station and follow East Jamestown Road through town and back to the college.
