GREENVILLE, PA – Dr. Laurie J. Moroco, associate professor and chair of the Department of Communication at Thiel College, presented two papers at the National Communication Association’s 94th annual convention in November 2008 in San Diego, Calif.
“Respect, Relational Dialectics, and Dialogic Civility as Unconventional Intersections between Personal and Public Life” was presented as part of the rhetorical and theory division and “Unconventional Dialogic Distinctions ‘Between’ Buber and Bakhtin” was named a top paper in the communication ethics division.
Moroco has a bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University and a master’s and doctorate from Duquesne University. She has taught at Thiel College since 2005 and lives in West Middlesex with her husband and four children.
