GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thomas Wedzik, regional president and CEO, and Jeff Wallace, vice president of commercial lending, of First National Bank (FNB) presented Thiel College with $20,000 on February 26.

FNB donated funds to the college through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). This is the bank’s second EITC donation to the College; the first, for more than $16,000, was received last summer.

EITC allows businesses to direct a portion of their tax dollars to support state-designated scholarship, educational improvement and/or a pre-kindergarten scholarship organizations. Thiel College is an education improvement organization, providing educational outreach to local K-12 schools through programs such as College for Kids, Thiel Scholars and Earth Week.
