GREENVILLE, Pa.—Dr. Carl A. Hoffman ’69, president and CEO of PrimeCare Medical Inc., presented Thiel College with a check for $20,000 on February 20, 2009. PrimeCare donated funds to the college through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).
Harrisburg, Pa.,-based PrimeCare Medical Inc. provides comprehensive healthcare services to county jails, prisons, and juvenile detention centers throughout the Northeastern United States. EITC allows businesses to direct a portion of their tax dollars to support state-designated scholarship, educational improvement and/or a pre-kindergarten scholarship organizations.
Thiel College is an education improvement organization, providing educational outreach to local K-12 schools through programs such as the Community Building Initiative, College for Kids, Thiel Scholars and Earth Week.
