GREENVILLE, PA – The Thiel Campus Police, Greenville-West Salem Township Police and members of Thiel College’s sororities and fraternities are making a list and checking it twice—but they need your help to make the sixth annual U.S. Marines Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive in Greenville a success!
The mission the Toys for Tots Program is to collect toys during the fall of each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The Greenville drive will collect new, unwrapped toys through Dec. 16, which then will be distributed to children in the Greenville-Mercer County area.
“This year, the Toys for Tots drive is more important than ever with so many families facing tough financial times,” says Thiel Police Chief Don Aubrecht. “The Thiel and Greenville police departments are proud to be part of the program, but we need everyone’s help to spread the Christmas joy this year.” Cash donations are also accepted and will be used to purchase new toys.
Anyone wishing to drop off new toys or a donation can do so at the Thiel College Campus Police building, Route 18 north, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or at the Greenville-West Salem Township Police Department at the intersection of Main and Water streets.
For more information, please call Chief Aubrecht at 724-589-2222.
