GREENVILLE, PA – Kevin Fenstermacher has been named web technologist at Thiel College, effective March 24.
Fenstermacher, who has been the college’s sports information director since 2001, and took on the added duties of assistant athletic director in 2005, will have an important role in the information technology department working to maintain, update and improve the college’s Web site.
“The Thiel Web site is one of the most important tools we have to get our message out to potential students as well as provide information to our current students, alumni and friends of the college,” said Bill Beil, Thiel College vice president for auxiliary enterprises and chief technology officer. “Kevin will be the first member of our IT department to focus on the Web site exclusively. We are thrilled that we found someone who not only had the technical skills needed, but also was already thoroughly familiar with the college.”
“The hard work and dedication that Kevin brought to the athletics department for the last seven years will be a real asset to Thiel’s IT department,” Beil said.
Fenstermacher earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education/sports communication from Bethany College, Bethany, W.Va., in 2000. He previously worked as assistant sports information director at the State University of New York–College at Oneonta.
A native of Erie, Fenstermacher lives in Mercer.
