GREENVILLE, Pa. – On Sept. 13, Northwest Savings Bank presented Thiel College with a check for $5,000 through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Educational Income Tax Credit Program (EITC).

EITC allows businesses to direct a portion of their tax dollars to support local organizations, which are designated by the state as approved scholarship, educational improvement and/or a pre-kindergarten scholarship organizations. 

Thiel College is a education improvement organization, providing educational outreach to local K-12 schools through programs such as College for Kids, Thiel Scholars and Earth Week.
