GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College is hosting a First in Math® Regional Workshop for local math educators, grades 1 to 8, on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. to noon in the Academic Center, Room 235. An optional lunch will follow at 12:15 p.m. in the Sawhill-Georgian Room of the Howard Miller Student Center.
This workshop will present a complete overview of the First in Math® online program by Mark Losey, national director for the First in Math® online program and owner of the Pittsburgh-based Educational Technology Consultants, Inc., which provides on-site support for a variety of on-site educational technology applications. His workshop will include numerous strategies learned during his experience with his Educational Technology Consultants for the successful use of technology in K-12 schools.

First in Math® is an online program for elementary and middle school students that is based on the 24®GAME math series. The program includes fact practice, PSSA test-preparation modules, real-time assessments for teachers and administrators, and competition for students.
