GREENVILLE, PA – Angela Lia of Duquesne, Pa., and William Mills of Coraopolis, Pa., were crowned Thiel College’s 2007 Homecoming Queen and King at the Homecoming football game on Saturday, Sept. 29.
Lia is a senior psychology major and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, the Greek academic honorary, Order of Omega, and the Psychology Club. She has been an assistant trainer for three years for the Thiel Tomcats football team and has held many leadership positions in her sorority and the Panhellenic Council. She has also been active within the community, performing community service at St. Paul Homes in Greenville. A 2004 graduate of Wilson Christian Academy in West Mifflin, Pa., she is the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Lia.
Mills is a senior history major. He serves as secretary of the Organization of Black Collegiates (OBC) and Kappa Sigma fraternity. He is a two-time captain of the Thiel track and field team and has been awarded all-conference honors three times. In 2005 and 2007, he was the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) 200-meter dash champion. Mills, the son of Katherine Mills and Eric Johnson, is a 2004 graduate of West Allegheny Senior High School in Imperial, Pa.

SENIORS
Matt Bannister, of Orlando, Fla., is a sociology and criminal justice major. He is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and is a past member of the Thiel football and wrestling teams. He is currently a member of the cheer and dance team.
Elysa Farrell, of Greenville, Pa., is an elementary education major. She is a member of the Thiel women’s basketball team and the Thiel Activities Board. She also is a student worker in the Office of Student Life and is one of the founding members of TC Helping Hands, which works in cooperation with the Good Shepherd of Greenville. She is a member of the Thiel College Dean’s List. She is the daughter of Edward Farrell and Cynthia Farrell and a 2004 graduate of Kennedy Catholic High School in Hermitage, Pa.
John Keller, of Lower Burrell, Pa., is a computer science major and president of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. He also serves as executive parliamentarian of the Student Government Association and is a past member of the Interfraternity Council. Keller is a member of the wrestling team and a graduate of the Thiel Leadership Development Institute. He is a recipient of a Haller Institute Scholarship. He is the son of William and Mary Keller.
Marenda Magnone, of New Castle, Pa., is a business administration major. She is president of her sorority, Alpha Xi Delta. She is also a member of the executive board of the Panhellenic Council, vice president of the Student Government Association and a charter member of Order of Omega. She is a student assistant in the Thiel library and works at Cianci’s Restaurant in Greenville. The daughter of Karen Baker and Bob Magnone, she is a 2004 graduate of Shenango Area High School.
Jaime Regna, of New Castle, Pa., is a psychology major and a four-year member of the cheer and dance team. She is active in the Thiel Leadership Development Institute and a manager of the wrestling team. She is the daughter of Fred and Judy Regna.
Bryonn Willms, of New Hampton, N.Y., is an elementary education major with a business administration minor. He is a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, holding the positions of treasurer and recruitment chair. He is also a member of the Greek honorary Order of Omega. Willms is a member of the Dean’s List and won the Academic Success Center Award in spring 2007. A 2004 graduate of Minisink Valley High School in Slate Hill, N.Y., he is the son of Alan and Debra Willms.
JUNIORS
Anne Fowler, of Allison Park, Pa., is an art major. She is a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority and the Thiel College Dean’s List. A 2005 graduate of North Allegheny High School, she is the daughter of Walt and Mary Fowler.
Scott Thompson, of Pittsburgh, is a business administration major. He is a member of the football team, co-founder of GAP (Gathering All People), vice president of OBC and a member of the residence life staff. He is the son of Jeffery and Wanda Thompson and graduated in 2005 from Wilkinsburg High School.
SOPHOMORES
Jared McClure is a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and the wrestling team.
Elizabeth Sitko, of Hiram, Ohio, is a double major in business communication and mathematics. She is a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority and the track and field team. She serves as the president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and parliamentarian of Lambda Sigma, the sophomore honor society. She also is a resident assistant and a member of the PAC Academic Honor Roll and the Thiel College Dean’s List. She is the daughter of Steven and Jamie Sitko and a 2006 graduate of Crestwood High School in Mantua, Ohio.
FRESHMEN
Moriah Monroe, of Austintown, Ohio, is a biology major. She is a member of OBC and the track and field team. She is the daughter of Neal and Happy Monroe and graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 2007.
