“Professor Miller has been an inspiration and role model for countless Thiel College students and faculty members,” said Dr. Robert C. Olson ’60, Thiel College president. “We hope that Professor Miller will be here for many more years.”
The record for number of years teaching was previously held by Professor of English Ernest Heissenbuttel, who taught at Thiel from 1930 to 1973.
Miller received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Thiel College in 1961 and his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1962. He started teaching at Thiel in 1963 as an instructor in the economics and business administration department.
