In the wake of Monday’s tragedy at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, we at Thiel College would like to express our support, condolences and prayers for the people of the university and Blacksburg, Va.

For our own campus, we would like to reassure all that Thiel College has an emergency response plan in place in the unlikely event of such an incident. We also encourage our students experiencing emotional distress to seek assistance from the counseling center at 589-2125 or the campus pastor at 589-2130. As always the Student Life staff is available to provide additional assistance.

The campus will host a memorial service for the victims of the tragedy at noon on Friday, April 20, in the David Johnson Memorial Chapel.
