Kierkegaard scholar Jon Stewart will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in the Sawhill-Georgian Room of Thiel College’s Howard Miller Student Center.

Stewart, of the Kierkegaard Research Centre of Copenhagen, Denmark, will present “Kierkegaard’s Criticism of Abstraction and His Proposed Solution: Appropriation.”

A widely published scholar, Stewart is the author of many books on Kierkegaard and Hegel, including his monumental Kierkegaard’s Relations to Hegel Reconsidered. He is also part of a team of scholars working on the new 55-volume edition of Kierkegaard’s writings.
