Thiel College will hold a special holiday season lighting ceremony and worship service during its Lighting the Way event at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 at the college’s David Johnson Memorial Chapel.
The evening will begin with a brief worship service featuring scripture readings and Advent hymns in the chapel. Participants will process outdoors to the plaza area for the lighting of the Christmas tree.
The Rev. Dr. Paul A. Baglyos, campus pastor, will officiate. Performing will be the college’s Chamber Singers and members of the Handbell Ringers, both under the direction of Dr. Michael Bray, professor of music.
Refreshments will be served on the plaza following the ceremony. The event is free and open to the public.
