Communication Professor Moroco Earns Ph.D, Receives Promotion
at Thiel

GREENVILLE, PA – Laurie
Moroco, instructor of communication at Thiel College, successfully
defended her dissertation on Nov. 11 and was awarded her Ph.D. in rhetoric
from the Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies at Duquesne
University.
The title of Moroco’s dissertation was “Phenomenological
Distance in Interpersonal Relationships.” Moroco earned a bachelor’s
degree from Slippery Rock University and her master’s degree from
Duquesne.
Additionally, Moroco has also been promoted to assistant professor at
Thiel College. She previously held the title of instructor.
A resident of Sharon, Moroco resides with her husband Richard and three
sons, Ethan, Kendrick, and Brennan.
