Community Singers Needed for Thiel Choir

GREENVILLE, PA – The Thiel College Choir
is inviting community singers to join in a performance scheduled for
7:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, at First Presbyterian Church, 323 Main
St., Greenville.
The concert – the 11th annual collaborative performance – will
feature two 20th century works by American composers.
The main choral work featured on the program is A New Creation, a
cantata by Lutheran composer Rene Clausen, accompanied by Kathryn
Gray, organist and a chamber orchestra. The Thiel College Chamber
Singers and the Thiel College Handbell Ringers will also perform at
the concert.
Rehearsals will begin on Saturday, March 18. Rehearsals are scheduled
for Saturday mornings at First Presbyterian Church.
All ensembles will be conducted by Dr. Michael R. Bray, professor of
music at Thiel and director of the Thiel Choir.
