MARIO MARINI NAMED DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL GIFTS AND PLANNED GIVING AT THIEL

GREENVILLE, PA – Mario Marini ’91 of Greenville, Pa., has been named director of special gifts and planned giving at Thiel College, effective immediately.
Marini, who had been the college’s director of annual giving and parent relations since 2002, will serve as a key major gifts officer, traveling both in and out of the region soliciting support for Thiel College.
“As director of annual giving, Mario led staff, students and volunteers in raising progressively more each year for the Annual Fund at Thiel,” said Thiel College Vice President for College Advancement. “With the year ending June 30, 2006, his teamwork approach resulted in a 5 percent increase over last year for a new all-time high of $679,533.”
“This is a natural progression in advancement work, and reflects his work ethic and attention to detail, which are regularly at peak performance,” Grober said.
Marini, who earned his bachelor of arts degree in accounting and business administration from Thiel in 1991, served five years as a trust officer with First National Bank. For two years he was an investment counselor with PNC Bank and an investment broker for seven years with Robert Thomas Securities.
A resident of Greenville, Marini is married and has three children. |
