ROBERT F. KENNEDY
JR. TO SPEAK AT THIEL NEXT WEDNESDAY
For immediate release April 19, 2006
GREENVILLE,
PA – Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will speak
at Thiel College as part of the institution’s
Earth Week celebration at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April
26, in the college’s
William A. Passavant Memorial Center.
Kennedy, law professor and senior attorney
for the Natural Resources Defense Council and the country’s most prominent environmental
attorney, will discuss “Crimes Against Nature: Our Environmental
Destiny.”
The author of the book “Crimes Against Nature,” he is an
authority on the laws that have protected America’s air, water,
public lands, and wildlife for the past 30 years. His
reputation as a resolute defender of the environment stems from a litany
of successful confrontations against governments and companies polluting
the Hudson River and Long Island Sound.
In Kennedy’s recent book “Crimes Against Nature,” released
in fall 2004, he shares his concerns for the health of our world’s
environment. The book details the poor environmental
record of the current administration as compared to Republican and Democratic
administrations of the past. The book details the poor environmental

He also released a children's book titled, Saint Francis of Assisi:
A Life of Joy in March 2005. His writings are published regularly in
various magazines, including Rolling Stone, and he has written several
other books.
He is featured, along with Julie Roberts, George Clooney and Al Gore,
on the April cover of Vanity Fair magazine, and he was recently lauded
by Successful Meetings magazine as a man whose message supercedes his
golden name.
The event is free and open to the public. A book signing session will
be held immediately following his presentation in the lobby area of
the Passavant Center.
Kennedy’s visit is sponsored by the Global
