THIEL COLLEGE CHRISTMAS
FESTIVAL IS DECEMBER 4
For immediate release November 30, 2005
GREENVILLE, PA - The annual Thiel College Christmas Festival
will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 in the William A. Passavant Memorial Center on the Thiel College campus.
Performing will be the Thiel Choir, the Thiel College Chamber Singers, and the Thiel College Handbell Ringers,
all under the direction of Dr. Michael R. Bray, professor of music, and the Thiel College Band directed by Jenn
Scarem.
The concert, "A Spotless Rose," will feature hymns, folksongs and spirituals of the Christmas season and include
works by Sweelinck, F. M. Christiansen, Vaughan Williams, Herbert Howells, and Bach Cantata BWV 61 "Nun komm, der
Heiden Heiland," an advent cantata accompanied with string quartet.
The concert is free and the public is encouraged to come and welcome in the yule season. For further information
