GREENVILLE, PA - The Thiel Campus Police, Greenville-West Salem Township Police and students
at Thiel College will team up for the third year to conduct the Toys for Tots drive in Greenville.
New toys, which will be distributed to children in the Greenville-Mercer County area, will be
collected through Dec. 12.
"Again this has been a year that has proven hard for many families in our area and across
the entire country, but we are hoping that the area people will again find room in their hearts to donate new toys
to help so many who are less fortunate" said Thiel Police Chief Donald Aubrecht. Cash donations
are also accepted and will be used to purchase new toys, Aubrecht said.
Last year generated more than $8,000 in funds and toys for distribution to Mercer County children
during the Christmas season, Aubrecht said.
Anyone wishing to drop off new toys or a donation can do so at the Thiel College Campus Police
building, Packard Avenue, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or at the Greenville-West Salem Township Police Department
at the intersection of Main and Water streets. U.S. Marine Corps representatives will pick up the toys on
Dec. 13.
For more information, please call Chief Aubrecht at 724.589.2222.
