Area Students Earn Degrees from Thiel College
For immediate release May 26, 2005

GREENVILLE, PA - Thiel College awarded degrees to 224 students during its 2005 spring commencement on Saturday, May 14. Of the degrees awarded, 223 were bachelor of arts degrees and three were associate of arts degrees.

Graduation honors are given to students who have completed at least 60 credit hours in residence at Thiel. Those who had a grade point average of 3.80 or higher graduated summa cum laude. Those who had attained a grade point average of 3.60 to 3.79 graduated magna cum laude, while those who had a grade point average of 3.40 to 3.59 graduated cum laude. Dean's Keys were awarded to those students who were named to the dean's list every semester at Thiel.

  • Mandy R. Asmann of Pittsburgh, Pa., earned a bachelor of arts degree in juvenile & family justice and sociology. She is the daughter of Ronald and Debra Asmann.
