Kelsey of Upper Marlboro, Md., has been appointed dean of admissions at Thiel College, effective Aug. 1, announced Thiel College Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. W. Jeffrey Welsh. Kelsey, who will oversee the college's recruiting and enrollment efforts, has spent more than 25 years in the field of enrollment management working at private liberal arts colleges, state-related public universities, and historically black colleges. "From his experiences he has developed excellent marketing, managerial, communications, and recruitment skills, all of which will serve him well here at Thiel," said Welsh. Previously Kelsey served as associate vice president of enrollment management at Binghamton University, SUNY. He also served as director of admissions at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Kelsey earned his master's in education with a focus on counseling from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He received a bachelor's degree in economics from Allegheny College.
