Andrew Grover, mathematics and computer science professor at Thiel College, was selected to participate in the annual reading and scoring of the College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations in computer science this June in the subject of computer science.
announces spring 2006 dean’s list
Three hundred and fifty Thiel College students were recently named to the dean’s list for the spring 2006 semester. A student must attain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.40 on a 4.0 scale while being enrolled full time to be eligible for the dean’s list.
SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHED TO ASSIST OHIO STUDENTS
The Office of Educational Outreach at Thiel College announced today the award of scholarship funding from The Marion G. Resch Foundation of Youngstown, Ohio.
Thiel College has announced that it will begin construction of on-campus baseball and softball complexes later this spring.
The Thiel College Board of Trustees promoted three faculty members and granted tenure to two at the semi-annual board meeting on Saturday, May 6.
Confers Degrees to 224 Students
Thiel College granted degrees to 224 men and women during Sunday’s Spring Commencement exercises in the college’s William A. Passavant Memorial Center.
Thiel College will pay special recognition to retiring faculty member Dr. James Bloomfield at the college’s 132nd spring commencement Sunday, May 7 at the William A. Passavant Memorial Center.

Dr. Jay A. Ward, professor of English at Thiel College, and Dr. Kathleen A. Ward, director of Thiel’s Academic Services Center, presented seminar papers at the Shakespeare Association of America annual meeting in Philadelphia April 12-16.
