Thiel to graduate more than 200 students, award honorary degrees on Sunday, May 7

More than 200 Thiel College seniors are expected to graduate at the institution’s spring commencement at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 7 in the college’s William A. Passavant Memorial Center.

Alpha Chi inducts 23 students

Twenty-three Thiel College students were inducted into the Theta Chapter of the national honorary fraternity Alpha Chi, the highest academic achievement a student can receive at Thiel, at a special ceremony on Friday, Feb. 24 in the Lutheran Heritage Room of the college’s Howard Miller Student Center.

Thiel announces names of December graduates

Thiel College awarded bachelor of arts degrees to 32 students in December.  Although winter graduates have received their degrees, they are encouraged to attend the college’s spring commencement ceremony on May 7.

Sixteen to be Inducted into Thiel’s Sigma Tau Delta

Sixteen Thiel College students were inducted into the Alpha Iota Kappa chapter of the international English honorary society, Sigma Tau Delta, on Sunday, Feb. 19, in the Sawhill-Georgian Room of the Howard Miller Student Center on the Thiel College campus.

Thiel College announces dean’s list for fall 2005

Three hundred and fifty Thiel College students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2005 semester. A student must attain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.40 on a 4.0 scale while being enrolled full-time to be eligible for dean’s list.

Touring Thiel Choir will perform locally on March 17

The Thiel Choir will present its home concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 17 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Penn and Clinton streets, Greenville, Pa., as part of the choir’s 53rd annual spring tour March 3-11, 2006
