THIEL WELCOMES PRO GOLFER FUZZY ZOELLER
For release July 31, 2000

GREENVILLE, Pa - Thiel College's Howard Miller Student Center (HMSC)
was the welcoming site for professional golfer Fuzzy Zoeller, this year's
celebrity golfer for the 50th annual Greenville Business & Industry Day golf
exhibition.

A cocktail party in the rotunda area of the HMSC was held Sunday, July
30. In addition to community members, Thiel alumni, board of trustee
members, and Thiel friends and family welcomed Zoeller to Greenville.

Fuzzy Zoeller, left, and Greenville Country Club champion Dan McMillen
share a few laughs as they talk golf at the welcoming party for Zoeller
hosted by the College.

Fuzzy Zoeller spends a few moments introducing himself to the crowd.

Zoeller has won two major titles in his golfing career -- the Masters in
1979 and the U.S. Open in 1984. The Greenville Business & Industry Day,
a community tradition, provides a forum for local businesses and
industry professionals to gather socially and discuss business
opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere. Any profits generated from the
event will be used for local business and industrial development through
the Greenville Area Economic Development Corporation (GAEDC).

Thiel College is one of the charter sponsors of the Business & Industry
Day committee.
