Prior to joining Thiel College in 1999 Gill-Jacobson
was the Associate Dean of Student Life/Director of Residence Life
at Marietta College (Ohio). She also held previous positions at
Marietta, which included Director of Campus Life Programs, Total
Quality Management Trainer and Director of Student Center and Summer
Conferences. Gill-Jacobson earned both her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary
Study and Master of Education degrees from Ohio University.

Peggy is responsible for student housing assignments and provides office support to the Vice President of Student Life.

Mike McKinney is the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Residence Life. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the Department of Residence Life and the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities. Mike also serves as the Staff Advisor to the Student Government Association. Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Thiel in 2002, and his Master of Science in Education degree from Youngstown State University in 2004. Heather
Balas did her undergraduate work at Thiel College, then earned her M.A. in Student Personnel at Slippery Rock University. Upon graduation she spent a year as Director of Residental Living at Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, WV. She then went back to her alma mater in Western PA and spent several years working with Student Activities. Heather has also served as Co-Director of the First Year and is currently the Interim Director of Career Services and Coordinator of Orientation and Transitional Programs. Pam Despo, Coordinator of Student Health. Pam is the school nurse providing over-the-counter cold and flu medication and scheduling doctor's appointments. She is the contact person for Thiel student insurance. Her office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30. She can be reached at 724-589-2195. |

Tiffany Darby serves as the College Counselor. She earned a Master of Education in Community Counseling from Kent State University in 2003. She is currently working on a Doctorate of Education, also at Kent State, in Counseling Education and Supervision. She is a licensed professional counselor in both Ohio and Pennsylvania. Barbara Blue is a 2004 graduate of Mount Union College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Blue is in her third year as the Assistant Track and Field Coach. She has served as a Resident Director and currently is the Director of Greek Life and Student Activities. She can be reached at 724.589.2192. |

Andre Smith, Advisor of Multicultural Affairs and Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. Andre develops and designs programs
that promote diversity at Thiel College. As advisor to the Organization
of Black Collegiates, he oversees programs and

Dante Darby is a 2003 Thiel graduate and is entering his third season on the Tomcat coaching staff and will work with the linebackers while also serving as the junior varsity head coach and defensive coordinator. Robert Flukas graduated from Thiel College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, and a Minor in Sociology. He is currently the Assistant to Student Activities and Resident Director of Harter Hall. Flukas was fortunate enough to be part of the Tomcats baseball team and start for four years. During his time at Thiel, he also took part on the wrestling team for one year. His future goal and aspiration is to obtain a Master's Degree in Higher Education.
