Welcome! The student body at Thiel is a very vibrant, involved, and diverse population. Currently we have over 50 clubs and organizations that fall under our Student Government Association, 24 varsity athletic programs, several strong intramural programs, and eight nationally recognized Greek letter organizations. We are also thrilled to celebrate a diverse student body made up of 13 percent minority students and 4 percent international students (reflects enrollment information from 2011-2012 academic year). In addition to the wide variety of organizations that exist on campus, the Division of Student Life also prides ourselves on the quantity and quality of activities, programs, and services that are offered daily. There is always something going on at Thiel! Typically at least three nights a week the Student Activities office provides entertaining and exciting programs for our students. Some of our more popular programs include weekly movies held in the “Bly Hall Cinema”, comedians, off-campus trips to Pittsburgh, Cleveland & New York City, Lip Syncs, Greek Olympics, Wings-N-Sings, motivational speakers, and much more. We believe Thiel is a place of opportunity and discovery and we are determined to encourage students to get involved. Our staff serves as educators, advocates, advisors, mentors, and helpers to our students and organizations. We work hard to provide a balance of both challenge and support while focusing on our mission to cultivate holistic development. Please review our Web site to learn more about Student Life at Thiel. Our offices are located at the heart of campus in the Howard Miller Student Center (HMSC), and our services include Residence Life & Housing, Student Activities, Orientation, Greek Life, Leadership, Multicultural Affairs, Religious Life, Health Services, and Counseling Services. We encourage you to contact our office at 724-589-2125 with any questions you may have. Mission Statement In accordance with the Thiel College mission statement, the Division of Student Life’s charge is to offer high quality programs, activities, and services that will enrich the student experience and cultivate the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, spiritual, vocational, and cultural development of Thiel College students. We strive to fully engage each student in all aspects of campus life, promote responsible and ethical citizenship, and to encourage students down a path of life-long learning.
