Beta Beta Beta - a national honor society for students studying in the biological sciences. Book Club - Read great books and talk about them! Circle K International (CKI)-
an international collegiate service organization that is a sponsored leadership program of Kiwanis International. It promotes service, leadership, and fellowship. With over 13,250 members, it is the largest collegiate service organization of its kind in the world. Our service partners are as follows: Better World Books, UNICEF, March of Dimes, and Students Teaming up for Hunger. Endymion - The Endymion is Thiel's yearbook. English Club - for all students interested in the field of English. The English Club meets to discuss topics relavant to English. In past years we have held a book club and have had story hours for local children.
Kappa Mu Epsilon - Mathematics honor society. Lambda Sigma - a national sophomore honor society that recognizes students who have been outstanding in scholarship and service to the College during the freshman year. Les Lauriers - a senior honorary that has been established to give recognition to men and women students who have a 3.0 average or better and who have shown outstanding service and leadership at the College. Lutheran Student Movement - Our Lutheran heritage gives us a unique identity within the Catholic church. This calls us to share the gifts God has given us, for the God of all people. Our Justification by grace through faith frees us to risk ourselves as we are witness to the Gospel. National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) - we hope to encourage professional interest among college and university students in the study of human communication sciences and disorders. Organization of Black Collegiates (OBC) - open to all members of Thiel campus for the purpose of promoting better human relations among members of the College community through greater knowledge of African-American culture. Phi Alpha Theta - a national history honorary fraternity that aims to stimulate sound scholarship and promote interest in the field of history. For selection to membership, students must have earned a B+ average in at least 12 hours of history.
Sigma Tau Delta - an international English honorary society that has served the English discipline for 75 years. It is represented at Thiel by the Alpha Iota Kappa chapter and is open to students who meet the scholastic requirements. Qualifications for membership are available in the English department. Ski Club - seeks to promote community building amongst the student body, to encourage hearty physical fitness, to take annual spring trips to Peek N’ Peak ski resort, which is located in Lindley Lake, New York, and to maintain a strong membership of 40+ students in order to be eligible for group discounts in 2010. Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) - offers a variety of different events to promote school spirit. We find ways to incorporate all studetns on campus into the collegiate athletic program. We also make sure to commit ourselves strongly to the community and to other clubs on campus. TCTV - the production staff and talent that work together to create various television programs for the College television station. The organization is open to all Thiel students, regardless of major, who want to create, produce, direct and assist in the production of various weekly programming. The Thielensian - a student newspaper published
every week of the academic year. Students may become involved in news, feature
or sports writing or may participate in business and advertising aspects of the paper.
New staff members are recruited at the beginning of the school year but anyone may
participate during the year by contacting the editor. The Thielensian offices are located
in the Howard Miller Student Center. Thiel Soldiers Gospel Choir - We as a part of the Body of Christ are one with the Lord. He has empowered us to be stewards of His work in song, through praise, worship and prayer. God has called His soldiers forth to be ready for when the enemy will try to attack. God has given us weapons of war that are not physical but spiritual and mighty. One of our weapons is our voice in song and dance. Through our performances we allow God's voice to be heard. In Him we find strength and peace knowing we can overcome anything. Thiel World Organization (TWO) - This unique club is a collaboration of much culture, international as well as domestic. The objective of this group is to bring culture together, share many different tradition and lifestyle and build awareness in the public. Tomcats Inspring Hope - Tomcats Inspiring Hope is an organization dedicated to raising awareness for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) within the Thiel College campus and community. We work towards raising funds and support for those with MS and for those with family members and friends with MS through various campus events and fundraisers. Women Inspiring the Next Generation (WING) - WING promotes friendship, empowers women through cultural and community affairs, and strives to set a standard of respect and responsibility for the entire college community by participating as leaders in a variety of Thiel College clubs and activities. |
