SERVICE Service on campus provides students the benefit of experiencing all that giving back to the community has to offer. Philanthropy is a major part of Greek Life that is often overlooked. All Greek students are involved in charity and community service programs across campus and across the country. Greek community members willingly donate hours of their time and thousands of dollars annually, as each chapter organizes their own philanthropy on the local and national level. The Greek community does almost as much philanthropy as the rest of the campus combined. Each chapter on campus has its own event that raises money for their specific philanthropy. They annually raise significant funds and awareness for a wide range of causes including Make-A-Wish Foundation, Alzheimer's Association, Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, Autism Speaks, American Red Cross, A Greater Cause, The Pittsburgh Children's Hospital, YouthAIDS, and many more. All Greek Life organizations participate in Thiel College's Annual "Spring Into Action" event, teaming up with other campus organizations and the Greenville community for a campus- and community-wide clean-up day.
