PANHELLENIC COUNCIL, WOMEN A Sorority is an organization of women who devote themselves to higher principles like Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Sisterhood. Sisterhood especially is an extremely significant aspect of sororities and lasts a lifetime. You will have a place that many years after graduation you will be able to return to and be with sisters from your time here. There is no other organization like this at Thiel College. Each sorority at Thiel has their own identity and is unique in their own way. Each concentrates on their core values and what they want to accomplish in their time at Thiel. The sororities host social and philanthropic events open to the entire campus and within their own organizations, as well as, offer opportunities for professional development with leadership conferences and other programs. Founded in 1902, National Panhellenic Conference is one of the oldest and largest women's membership organizations. The NPC exists to promote the values of and to serve as an advocate for its member groups in collaboration with those members, campuses and communities. Panhellenic Council belongs to the NPC and is the governing body for sorority life on campus. It is comprised of three members from each sorority. For more information about the NPC please feel free to visit their website at www.npcwomen.org/.
