About Sigma Kappa

For more than 125 years, Sigma Kappa has been uniting women in lifelong friendships and creating a sisterhood that has encompassed thousands, across generations, and around the world. Sigma Kappa’s goal is to help each member develop her greatest potential through academic success, personal growth, sisterhood and philanthropic service. Within a supportive environment, each Sigma Kappa is expected to do her best and help other sisters achieve all they can as well. At Thiel, the Sigma Kappa sisters are involved in many on-campus organizations and hold various leadership positions. The sisters also take part in the community, working with the clients at a nearby nursing home and taking part in the Adopt-A-Highway program. They also participate in many sorority activities, such as formals, informals and retreats.
