About Alpha Xi Delta

Alpha Xi Delta is one of the oldest women’s fraternities in the United States. The timeless ideals envisioned by Alpha Xi Delta’s founders have remained constant throughout the years, inspiring pride in each member to pursue individual excellence. Now a national fraternity with more than 149,000 initiated members, Alpha Xi is a progressive organization with college chapters and alumnae associations throughout the United States. Formerly the local sorority of Alpha Phi Delta, the Gamma Sigma chapter of Alpha Xi Delta is dedicated to creating the best possible collegiate experience for women by providing a social and service atmosphere for our members beyond that of the College.  The sisters can be seen in numerous activities and organizations throughout the campus including sports, theatre, academic and honor societies, and the media at Thiel.
