Head
Cheerleading and Dance Coach
Regina Henderson
Regina Henderson is in her first
year as the head cheerleading and dance coach at Thiel College.
Henderson, a 2006 graduate of Illinois
State University, was a member of the cheer squad and also danced
with the Noir dance troupe at her alma mater. Since graduating
with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies (communications
and mathematics), Henderson has served as the dance sponsor and
head dance coach at Bolingbrook High School, Bolingbrook, Ill.
"My plan is to have the Tomcat
cheerleading and dance teams visible on campus. The cheerleaders
and Topcats should be recognized as some of the finest student-athletes
in the College's athletic program, as intelligent and outgoing
students in the classroom and as public relations ambassadors of
the College and the city of Greenville", said Henderson.
Some new aspects Henderson plans
to bring to the programs are incorporating community service activities,
academic study sessions, weight training and a nutritional program,
and producing nationally competitive programs that will participate
in both the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) and the Universal
Dance Association (UDA). |
