Gibson, a psychology major, was a four-year member of the women’s indoor and outdoor track and field squads and was a two-year member of the women’s soccer team. She was a four-time Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) champion in the 200 meters, a three-time champion as a member of both the 400 meter and 1600 meter relay squads, and a two-time champion in both the 100 meter and 400 meter dashes. Following the 2004 PAC Championships Gibson was named the event’s Most Valuable Performer. She earned seven PAC Women’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors during her four years.
Gibson tied or broke 11 (6 indoor, 5 outdoor) school records and was a two-time NCAA Division III national qualifier in the 100 meter dash. She finished the 2006 regular season ranked 15th in the 100 and 20th in the 200. During her time at Thiel Gibson was involved in the Organization of Black Collegiates (OBC) and the Sister 2 Sister program. |
