Caleb Goist '04
earned four letters as a member of the baseball team. Goist,
a two-time team captain and three-time all-Presidents' Athletic
Conference (PAC) first team selection at shortstop, is the school's
career leader in most offensive categories, including at bats (559),
runs scored (125), doubles (42) and hits (199) and is second
in career batting average (.356). In June 2004 Goist was named
to the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA)
Academic all-America College Division Baseball Team as a member
of the third team. In 2003 Goist was named to the CoSIDA all-District
II second team and was an all-District II first team selection
in 2004. In the classroom Goist maintained a 3.50 GPA as a Biology/Pre-Dental
major. He was named to the Dean's List on four occasions and
was also the recipient of a pair of scholarships while attending
Thiel: the Arthur E. Smith Scholarship and the Templeton Scholarship.
He also served as treasurer for Beta Beta Beta, an honorary society
for student studying the biological sciences. |
