For Immediate Release: January 26, 2006 THIEL'S SNELL NOT TO RETURN AFTER BASKETBALL SEASON GREENVILLE, Pa. (Jan. 26) -- Thiel College has announced that current head men's basketball and tennis coach Mike Snell will not return to the position after the conclusion of the 2005-06 basketball season. "We are grateful to Mike for his time spent at Thiel and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors", said athletic director Joe Schaly. In his first season in Greenville (2002-03) he guided the squad to a 16-12 overall record and a second-place finish in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament, earning PAC Coach of the Year honors for his efforts. During his four seasons in Greenville Snell compiled an overall record of 38-70 and a 14-28 record in the PAC. |
