For Immediate Release: March 19, 2008 THIEL'S HERRMANN NAMED TO THIRD TEAM ALL-GREAT LAKES REGION BY D3HOOPS.COM GREENVILLE, Pa. (March 19) -- Thiel College senior forward Joe Herrmann (Hartstown/Jamestown) was selected third-team All-Great Lakes Region by D3hoops.com for his performance on the hardwood this season.  Herrmann finished the season averaging 18.3 points per game and 6.8 rebounds all while pushing the Tomcats to the their best season sense the 2002-2003 season. He was also selected first team All-Presidents' (PAC) Athletic Conference while finishing the season ranked fourth in scoring and seventh in rebounds.  Herrmann was also named a pre-season honorable mention all-American selection by DIII News, the country's top Division III basketball publication. He finished his career ranked first overall in block shots (112), third in steals (143), third in points (1,507), and fifth in rebounds (695).
