For Immediate Release: February 26, 2008 MEN COME UP SHORT IN THE OPENING ROUND OF PAC TOURNAMENT AT W&J 67-63 WASHINGTON, Pa. (Feb. 26) -- The sixth ranked Thiel men fell in overtime at third ranked Washington and Jefferson in the first round of the President's Athletic Conference Tournament. Junior Guard Brandon Mirizo (West Middlesex/Kennedy Catholic) had a game-high 20 points and shot 5-of-8 from beyond the arc, while freshman Devon Adams (Philadelphia/George Junior Republic) contributed 17 points and three assist. Senior forward Joe Hermann (Hartstown/Jamestown) added 11 points and eight rebounds. The Presidents were lead by Josip Lucic-Jozack who scored 19 points and grabbed a total of 10 rebounds. Brian Felker and Albert Varacallo scored 19 and 12 points respectively for Washington and Jefferson. Lucic-Jozack hit the final two late free throughs in the second half to send the game into overtime. The Tomcat defense managed to hold the Presidents to shooting just 34% from the field but were outrebounded 39-29.
