THIEL’S BROWN FINISHES EIGHTH AT NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

DUBUQUE, Iowa (March 3) – Thiel College senior 285-pound Kyle Brown (Meadville/Meadville) wrestled to an eighth-place finish Saturday at the 2007 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships, hosted by Loras College at the Five Flags Center in Dubuque, Iowa.

Brown, the seventh seed at 285 pounds, entered Saturday 2-1 in the championships. He fell to Andrew Neumann of Augsburg College by fall (3:27) in the consolation quarterfinals and suffered a 3-2 loss to Wade Hammen of Buena Vista University in the seventh-place match.

Brown finished the season 41-10 and concluded his career 128-34.
