THIEL'S HENDRICKS NAMED TO AP LITTLE ALL-AMERICA TEAM

GREENVILLE, Pa. (Dec. 16) -- Thiel College senior offensive lineman Dave Hendricks (Rockton/DuBois) was named to the Associate Press (AP) Little All-America Team Thursday.

The AP Little All-America Team is comprised of the top players at the Division II, Division III and NAIA levels.

A two-time all-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) first-team selection, Hendricks and the Tomcats finished the 2005 season with an 11-1 mark, won their first PAC title since 1972 and made their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III playoffs. Hendricks, who started 44 total games during his career, anchored an offensive line that helped Thiel average more than 400 yards of total offense per game this season.

Besides the AP Little All-American award, Hendricks was named to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III All-America Team and was named to the D3football.com all-South Region First Team.

Hendricks is the first Tomcat to receive an all-American selection by the AFCA. He is slated to represent the United States versus Mexico in the Aztec Bowl this Saturday in Toluca, Mexico.
