ASC / Act 101
The Academic Success Center and Act 101 Programs offer academic peer mentoring in several variations to all ASC / Act 101 Freshmen. Academic Trainers are assigned to all incoming Act 101 Freshmen. They provide individualized attention and support to Act 101 freshmen to promote academic achievement. Academic trainers are specialized mentors through the Academic Success Center Mentorship Program who promote and support academic performance and social development. Academic trainers guide freshmen in developing new academic strategies to integrate during their freshman year.
Academic Peer Mentors are offered to all incoming freshmen assigned to the Academic Success Center. ASC freshmen are encouraged to meet with a peer mentor through the Academic Success Center to discuss such topics as college adjustment, time management, goal setting, note taking, test preparation, scheduling, and reading, to name a few.
