Dietrich Gift
On November 3, 2011, Thiel College announced a $25 million gift from Pennsylvania native and philanthropist William S. Dietrich II. It is the largest gift made to Thiel in our 145-year history. Bill's parents, Kenneth Dietrich '31 and Marianna Brown Dietrich '32, met while attending Thiel and shortly thereafter married and settled in western Pennsylvania.
Bill went on to successfully run Dietrich Industries, a business started by his father. The business flourished under Bill's direction as did the family's relationship with Thiel College.
Kenneth served on the Board of Trustees and Bill was honored for his leadership of Dietrich Industries Inc. with the Haller Enterprise Institute's Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Please help us celebrate this monumental gift with a campus-wide celebration on February 11, 2012, during Thiel's inaugural Winter Weekend!
