What is the Thiel Family Council?
The Thiel Family Council is a group of parents and family members who offer their insight and experience to the College; serving as a mechanism to positively influence the students’ living and learning environment through their interaction with the administration. Membership offers families a special connection with one another as well as many opportunities to participate in the Thiel community.
Why Become a Member?
• To get involved in your son’s or daughter’s college experience without infringing upon it
• To provide a vehicle of communication between the parent community and the college
• To meet other Thiel parents and families
• To help promote Thiel and its programs
• To have fun!
How Can You Participate?
ATTEND MEETINGS
Three Family Council meetings are held each academic year. Meetings provide you with up-to-the minute Thiel College news, allow you to meet other members of the Council and feature important members of the campus as guest speakers.
VOLUNTEER
Assist with Move-In Day, speak to prospective parent’s during Admissions visits and much more. Membership is not a major time commitment. You can choose to help with whichever volunteer opportunities interest you.
ATTEND EVENTS
The Thiel College campus is always filled with special activities that we encourage you to attend including Family Weekend, Homecoming Weekend, sporting events, choir concerts and theater productions. We encourage you to be a part of the campus life at Thiel College!
